Instructions for Calcualting Beam & Carried Spans

Refer to the above illustration to determine the beam needed for your application.
Use the charts on the following pages that are color-coded to match the beam in your application.
The column on the left on each chart labeled BEAM SPAN represents the beam length required for your project.
The column labeled SPAN CARRIED BY BEAM determines the span carried by your beam.
The box on the chart that matches across your beam span and down from the span carried represents the Ready Header product which suits your needs.
Use BEAM INDEX chart on opposite page for description of Ready Header beam nymber(s) that will best suit your application.
